Jahnavi Prakhya of Gujarat, a first year student at the University of Northern Alabama, shot 71-67-74 (2-over 212) to win the Indian Golf Union’s (IGU) Eastern India Ladies & Junior Girls’ Championship by six strokes at Tollygunge Club in Kolkata.
The tournament featured over 77 girls from across India competing in the stroke-play competition from May 24-26.
Prakhya was followed by Puneet Kaur Bajwa, who finished at eight-over par 218.
In the A&B Girls Category, Puneet Kaur Bajwa emerged as the winner with a score of 218, followed by Nishna Patel at 219.
In Category B Girls, Anaahat Bindra shot 74-77-77 (228) to win by two over Zara Anand, who shot 76-79-75 (230).
In Category C, Guntas Kaur Sandhu shot 78-82-77 (237) to beat Ayesha Gupta, who shot 75-84-83 (242), by five strokes.
