Jeev is looking forward to his senior major debut

Jeev Milkha Singh, who turned 50 last December, has been given a special invite for the Senior PGA Championship, scheduled for May 25-29 in Michigan. Twenty seven former major winners including the likes of Bernhard Langer and Vijay Singh will be in the strong field at the Senior PGA.

Jeev recently played the new US$500,000 Delhi GC Open on the Asian Tour and made the halfway cut as he has been training to get back to competition.

Singh took to Twitter to announce the news to his followers –

Singh was invited for his senior debut on the European Legends Tour just three weeks ago at the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius but the tournament was cancelled as rain prevented completion of even one round during the week.

Over the course of his career, Singh has played in all four majors with a best finish of tied-9th at the 2008 PGA Championship. Singh has also won four times on the European Tour and the Japan tour. He has received the Arjuna Award and Padma Shree for his achievements. His performance on the Senior Tour will be watched with great interest.
