30-year-old Khalin Joshi shot 67-67-70 to tie Sangchai Kaewcharoen of Thailand, at 12-under 204 in the ADT event in Indonesia. Unfortunately, Joshi went on to lose the playoff on the second extra hole to a chip-in birdie.
Khalin was coming off a disappointing outing at the Asian Games in China where the men failed to mount any serious challenge for a medal in the individual or team events.
Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, who leads the ADT Rankings this year with US$ 31,257.50 in earnings, continued to impress, finishing tied for third, just a stroke outside the playoff.
Both players are in the field this week on the Asian Tour’s Macao Open.
