Kartik Singh is the youngest ranked Indian on the WAGR

The Indian Golf Union (IGU), governing body of amateur golf in India has selected 14-year-old Kartik Singh and 17-year-old Rakshit Dahiya, the No.1 and 2 ranked golfers on IGU’s Junior Boys Category A to represent India at the Singapore Junior Golf Championship scheduled for June 4-7 at Keppel Club.

The tournament welcomes both boys and girls aged 11 to 17, provided they have a handicap index of 14.0 or lower for boys and 16.0 or lower for girls. Additionally, there’s a team event, comprising pairs of the same gender from each country, with a maximum of two teams per nation. The competition spans three days and 54 holes to determine the champion, including a 36-hole cut, and participation is capped at 96 players.

Kartik Singh has been impressively representing India on the international fronts with two wins, two runner-ups and two more top-10 finishes in 7 outings in 2024 alone.

Rakshit Dahiya,recently finished 35th at the Royal Junior in Japan, which was played on an extraordinarily long course and had clinched victory at the IGU Maharashtra Amateur Golf Championship.
