Kartik Singh played a pivotal role in securing key points for his team in both the Singles and Foursome matches during the tournament

At just 14 years old, Kartik Singh of Gurgaon creditably earned one win and one half in the three matches he played in the Junior President’s Cup where he played on the 12 player International Squad.

Kartik became the third Indian to represent the International Team in the prestigious Junior Presidents Cup following Rayhan Thomas (2017) and Kartik Sharma (2019).

The American team ended victorious 15-9 but Kartik’s 1.5 points helped his team put up a fight. Kartik was 1 up in his singles match but ended up losing the final hole to end the half.

The Junior Presidents Cup, a two-day team match play event, features 24 of the world’s best juniors, split into 12-player teams from the U.S. and an International squad, excluding Europe. It’s held just before the Presidents Cup, offering a unique chance for junior players to go onto to watch the pros in action.

The chief guest was PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan. The U.S. team was captained by PGA Tour veteran Charley Hoffman while the Internationals were captained by former Tour player Graham DeLaet of Canada.

10 players from Vietnam, Indonesia, New Zealand, Thailand, and China made up the International team.

Kartik’s next stop will be Japan, where he will make his second appearance at the men’s Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship,  October 3-6 where he made the cut at age 13 in 2023.
