13-year-old Gurgaon based junior phenomenon Kartik Singh who won all the IGU National Junior tournaments he entered in 2022 and recently won the Thailand Juniors, shot 80-75-71 (10-over 226) to win his age group event and finish overall runners-up in the Saigon Masters, which featured over 100 golfers from 10 countries. organised by Vietnam Golf Association from April 27-29.

Singh, who is one of only four juniors in the world born in 2010 who feature in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), was reportedly also unwell during the tournament and had to take pills for fever just so he could complete the event.

After returning from Vietnam, Singh won the IGU’s Eastern Junior Boys Championship B Division at RCGC in Kolkata, measuring 7200 yards, where he shot 71-76-76-72 (7-over 295) to win by five strokes.
The tournament was played by 41 junior golfers from across the country.

As one of the top juniors in Asia, Kartik has qualified for three world championships in USA this summer:
11 – 14 July : IMG Junior World Championship (San Diego – Arrowwood GC)
17 – 19 July: FCG Callaway Junior World championship (San Diego – Desert Springs GC)
27 -29 July : US Teens World Championships (Pinehurst, North Carolina – Longleaf GC)
