Former PGA Tour player, Anirban Lahiri recorded a 2nd runner up spot at LIV Golf in Bedminster, New Jersey with rounds of 74 and 70 punctuated with a 7 under par 64 in the middle to end at 5-under,  208, well behind 2022 Open Champion Cameron Smith of Australia who finished at 12-under 202 to win by seven shots.

In Round two Lahiri made six birdies over his first nine holes, and nine birdies in total to vault up to fourth spot from 32nd after round 1. A steady final round propelled him up to second, albeit a long way short of Smith. It was Lahri’s best result of the season and matches his Sept. 2022 finish when he lost to Dustin Johnson in a three-way playoff at the LIV Golf Tulsa event.

Lahiri made US$ 2,250,000 (₹18.6 crores) in the individual event and another US$ 2,50,000 (₹ 2 crores) for his team Crushers GC’s runners-up finish in New Jersey. This season the team portion of the prize money goes directly towards the team’s day-to-day costs rather than to the players.
