India’s lone representative on the high-profile and super lucrative LIV Tour, Anirban Lahiri is gearing up for a high-stakes shootout at the end of the LIV season as his team, Crushers, prepares for a tight finish against Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII team. Led by two-time U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau and supported by Paul Casey and Charles Howell III, Crushers currently tops the LIV team rankings with 176.5 points, with Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII, just 0.5 points behind, heading into LIV Golf Chicago (Sept. 13-15).
After Chicago, the Team Championship finale will be held in Dallas next week and Rahm’s team has the momentum having secured four team titles compared to Crushers’ two. While Crushers last tasted victory in March at LIV Golf Hong Kong, Legion XIII has been on a dominant run, with triumphs in Miami, Nashville, and the UK.
As the individual LIV season is in its final week in Chicago, Lahiri has his individual spot for the 2025 LIV Tour locked in. Currently ranked 18th individually, he is well within the top 24 ensuring his place on the tour for a fourth straight season.
The pressure is on Lahiri and his teammates to fend off their rivals in what promises to be an electrifying conclusion to the LIV Golf season.
