LIV 2024 season coming to an end
With the LIV 2024 season coming to a close soon, Anirban Lahiri’s team – The Crushers GC, has 176.50 points to Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII’s 176 points, which will make for a thrilling final few weeks as there is huge pride and money at stake for the LIV season-ending team title.
Legion XIII has made up ground on Crushers in the past two events, finishing 1st and 3rd, while the Crushers are in a slump with 3rd and 8th place finishes.
Perhaps the absence of one of Lahiri’s teammates, Charles Howell, due to injury for a few weeks may have upset the dynamics at Crushers. It remains to be seen if his return will boost the team’s spirit, which is undoubtedly what the Crushers’ indomitable captain Bryson DeChambeau will hope for.
He will also want to see Anirban perform at his peak during the final two events in Chicago and Dallas next month. Individually, Lahiri ranks 18th this season with three top-10 finishes, including a runner-up spot in Andalucía, Spain, and earnings of over $7.7 million. His place is secure with Crushers for the LIV Tour for 2025.
