53-year-old Jeev Milkha Singh started his 2025 season campaign on the Legends Tour with a Top-20 finish in Spain
Veteran professional golfer Jeev Milkha Singh, who became the first Indian in 2006 to break into the Top-50 of the World Rankings, began his 2025 Legends Tour campaign with a T19 finish at the Staysure Marbella Legends, held from February 14-16 at Aloha Golf Club, Spain.
The four-time European Tour and six-time Asian Tour winner carded a 4-under 212 with rounds of 68-73-71, securing a top-20 finish despite a double bogey in the final round.
Singh, who placed T28 at the PGA TOUR Champions’ Trophy Hassan II in Morocco the previous week, started strong with an opening-round 68 that had four birdies and an eagle against two bogeys. A second-round 73 saw him drop down the leaderboard after four bogeys and three birdies. In the final round, Jeev posted a 71 with four birdies, one bogey, and a double bogey, but managed to finish inside the top 20.
The tournament saw England’s Simon Griffiths claim victory at 15-under 201, finishing two shots ahead of runner-up Scott Hend of Australia, who surged up the leaderboard with a final-round 64. Hend’s round included 10 birdies, with an impressive stretch of seven birdies over eight holes from the ninth.
The Legends Tour now heads into a two-month break before resuming with the Barbados Legends Hosted by Ian Woosnam from April 25-27 at Apes Hill, Barbados.
