Aditi finished tied-53rd at the LET’s PIF Saudi Ladies International as the only Indian to make the cut
The 2025 Ladies European Tour (LET) season progressed to its second event of the season with the PIF Saudi Ladies International at Riyadh Golf Club from February 13-15, following the season-opener in Morocco. The event, now in its sixth edition, introduced a new format, combining a 54-hole individual stroke play competition with a 36-hole team event.
A field of 112 players, including eight tournament invitations, 62 LET regulars, and 42 players ranked within the top 300 of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, competed for a total prize pool of $5 million USD. The Individual stroke play event carried the bulk of the purse at $4.5 million, while the Team event featured a $500,000 prize fund.
The tournament format saw the field split into 28 teams and captains were selected based on the official Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as of February 3, 2025, with picks made in reverse order. 3-time Olympian Aditi Ashok had picked fellow Indian Pranavi Urs, Marrakech’s Maha Haddioui, and Slovakia’s Ana Belac in her team, which finished at tied-22nd with a combined score of 21-under 267. Team Somi Lee secured a two-stroke victory at 34-under-par.
Among the four Indian participants in the individual stroke play event—Aditi Ashok, Sunshine Tour winner Tvesa Malik, Mysore’s Pranavi Urs, and 2-time LET winner Diksha Dagar—only Aditi progressed beyond the cutline, which was set at 2-under-par. The remaining three missed out on the final round.
Aditi’s performance, however, faltered in the final round as she carded a 3-over 75, dropping to a tied-53rd finish. Her three-day aggregate of even-par 216 (69-72-75) reflected a challenging outing. On the final day, she managed two birdies but also recorded three bogeys and a double bogey at the par-72 Riyadh Golf Club.
Meanwhile, Thailand’s Jeeno Thitikul emerged victorious, securing her fifth LET title with a commanding four-stroke win.
The LET season now enters a two-week break before resuming in Australia. The next event, the Australian WPGA Championship, is scheduled from March 6-9 at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club.
