Mahreen with her Age Category Girls 15-18 trophy
15-year-old Mahreen Bhatia from Gurgaon, won the FCG Callaway World Championship at the Pete Dye designed course in Rancho Mirage, California with rounds of 71-64-66, finishing at 11-under 201.
Mahreen’s performance was five strokes ahead of Vietnam’s An Le Chuc, who finished runner-up at 6-under 206 with rounds of 71-68-67. Highlighting her victory in the Girls 15-18 category, Mahreen set a course record with an 8-under 64 in her second round, earning recognition from the course administration.
In 2024, secured fifth place at the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam.
In the boys’ section, Danish Verma from Ludhiana secured a one-shot victory in the Boys 11-12 category with rounds of 65-64-70.
A total of 21 Indian juniors participated in the competition, with 15 making the halfway cut. The course played par-70 on Day 1, par-72 on Day 2, and par-70 in the final round.
