26-year-old Manu Gandas of Gurgaon, who became the first Indian player to benefit from the automatic European Tour qualification for being PGTI No.1, shot 75-72 (3-over 147) to miss the cut by five-strokes at the US$ 2mn Ras Al Khaimah Championship in UAE.
Owing to his splendid 2022 season on the PGTI, where he won six times and finished in the top-10 another seven times, and earned a record ₹88 lakhs, Gandas was awarded his Category 16 card on the European Tour as part of a new deal between the European and Indian tours.
