Manu Gandas of Gurgaon shot 36-34-68-70 for a three-shot win at the Glade One Masters 2022. The 25-year-old finished at 8-under 208 to earn his second professional title on the PGTI tour at the Glade One Resort & Golf Club in Ahmedabad.
Gandas, the overnight leader by two shots, produced four birdies on the front nine to take a massive seven-shot lead over the field. He closed with 34 on the back nine to win the tournament by three shots.
The first two rounds of the second tournament of the 2022 TATA Steel PGTI season comprised nine holes each. The third and fourth rounds comprised 18 holes each. The tournament was played over a total of 54 holes. The par for the course in the third and fourth rounds was 72.
Gandas picked up the winner’s cheque of ₹ 6,46,600 and replaced Karandeep Kochhar as the PGTI’s Order of Merit leader. Kochhar missed the event as he was competing in the Asian Tour’s International Series event in Thailand.
Harendra Gupta, who started the day eight shots off the lead in 16th place, closed with four birdies over his last four holes to shoot 65 and finish runner-up at 5-under 211.
Karan Pratap Singh of Faridabad was third at four-under 212 while Mysuru’s Yashas Chandra secured fourth position at three-under 213.
The tour will head to Chattogram, Bangladesh for it’s 50 lacs Mujib Borsho Chattogram Open 2022 from March 9-12 at Bhatiary Golf & Country Club.
