Nelly Korda can add another accomplishment to her list in a year full of them. The 23-year-old has enjoyed a stellar 2021: she won her first Major, rose to World No.1 and won gold at the Tokyo Olympics. Now she has been named to Forbes Magazine 30 under 30 list of standout athletes and sports industry officials.
The list recognizes athletes as well “front-office standouts, inventive entrepreneurs and accomplished sports professionals shaping the future of the industry.” A four-judge panel selected the winners, who have to be under the age of 30 as of Dec. 31, 2021 and could not have been named to the list in previous years.
Previous LPGA players named to the list include American Lexi Thompson in 2019, South Korean Inbee Park in 2015 and American Michelle Wie in 2007 ( Forbes Top 20 Earners Under 25).
