25-year-old Nishtha Madan, who played in her sixth event of the season, shot 73-69-73 (1-under 215) to finish tied for 59th in the US$ 200,000 Garden City Charity Classic in Garden City, Kansas Madan had qualified for the Epson Tour through the Qualifying Tournament in Florida. She will soon be joined by Pranavi Urs, who has also earned playing rights on the Epson Tour this year.
They will both represent India in the US$ 200,000 IOA Golf Classic from May 19-21 in Longwood, Florida.
Meanwhile, 28-year-old Nikita Arjun, a Armstrong University graduate, shot 78-72-82 (16-over 232) to finish 42nd in the US$ 46,000 FCA Women’s Championship, a Women’s Pro Golf Tour event at Broken Arrow GC in Oklahoma.
The WAPT has a partnership program with the LPGA Tour called the Race to Stage II program to reward the top five members at season’s end with exemptions to Stage II of the LPGA Q-School.
