Pranavi Urs of Mysore, who will turn 21 next week, continues to play consistently in her first year on the Ladies European Tour ( LET), having travelled to Australia for two events co-sanctioned between the LET & Women’s Pro Golf Association (WPGA).
At the US$ 325,000 Australian Women’s Classic, Pranavi carded round of 2-under 70 to stand tied-23rd, before the tournament was called off due to heavy rain in the area.
As a result of the tournament only being 18 holes, the tournament will not be classed as an official LET tournament so points will not be allocated to the Order of Merit and prize money will be unofficial.
It was decided the three players tied at the top of the leaderboard at the end of 18 holes would be declared joint winners.
Last week, Pranavi carded rounds of 72-74-74 to finish 54th at 4-over 220, stretching her streak of cuts made to five consecutively on the LET with a best-result of fifth in Morocco.
Broch Estrup, Tsai and Whitting all produced rounds of 66 (-6) in the opening round to sit tied at the top of the leaderboard and were eventually declared as the joint winners of the tournament.
Pranavi earned her 2024 Ladies European Tour (LET) playing rights by finishing in the top 20 at the Final Qualifying tournament held in Morocco last December.
