Long hitting Mysore pro Pranavi Urs, the current Hero WPGT No 1 with four wins, leaves this week for the LPGA Qualifying Tournament (also known as Q school) scheduled in California.
The Q-School’s Stage-I is scheduled for Aug. 18-21 in California from where the top-95 players will advance to Stage-II scheduled for Oct. 18-21 in Florida.
The top 30 and ties from the Stage-II in Florida get into the final stage of Qualifying in December, which consists of a new two-week tournament. However all those who get into Stage 2 will earn playing rights on the Epson Tour, the development tour for the LPGA.
In 2021, Urs entered the Ladies European Tour’s (LET) Q-School in La Manga, Spain, where she was inside the cut line in the pre-qualifiers, until a triple bogey on the 14th in the final round knocked her out of contention.
