Pranavi Urs with her boyfriend Karandeep Kochhar on Day 2 of the tournament in Sweden

21-year-old Pranavi Urs, playing in her first full season on the Ladies European Tour (LET), scored 70-66-70 to miss out on a playoff by one stroke and register a tied-3rd place finish at 10-under 206 at the US$ 320,000 Dormy Open in Sweden.

Two other Indians in the field, Tvesa Malik finished 10th at 209 while Diksha Dagar finished 13th on 210, marking the first time in 2024, we have seen 3 Indians in the top 15 on the Ladies European Tour ( LET).

Pranavi has had her boyfriend Karandeep Kochhar, also a standout player on the PGTI and Asian Tour caddying for her for the last two events, which seems to have helped her performance. Talking about her boyfriend: she added, “He knows my game pretty well and back home when we play together it’s pretty competitive. It’s nice to ease things off between us on the golf course. I’m excited that he’s here and that we could get a good round today.”

Pranavi made US$ 22,500 for her efforts and jumped to No.11th on the LET rankings , right behind Diksha Dagar who is ranked 9th.

Tvesa Malik’s 10th place finish is her best of 2024 and points to a timely revival of form in the past few months. She too had husband Ajeetesh Sandhu, an Asian Tour winner, on her bag.
