Pranavi Urs, the 18-year-old pro from Mysore, shot 68-72-71 (5-under 211) to clinch her second title of the season on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour at Aamby Valley Golf Club in Pune. Gurgaon’s Ridhima Dilawari finished runner-up at even-par 216.
Urs, who consistently drives the ball an impressive 275 yards, started the final round with a one-shot lead over Hitaashee Bakshi, who won last week’s event. Urs extended her lead with an even-par front nine, a score matched only by Dilawari on the day.
Urs then played the final nine in one-under to post the day’s best score alongside Durga Nittur, and earn a comfortable 5 stroke victory.
The win was Urs’s sixth on the tour and her second in the last 4 starts , proving she has fully recovered from an injury in 2021. She recently signed a sponsorship deal with Mumbai based AllCargo Global Logistics in recognition of her potential.
Bakshi (67-74-78) finished third, followed by Vani Kapoor (74-71-75) in fourth and Gaurika Bishnoi (74-74-75) in fifth.
The Hero Indian Women’s Pro tour will move to Gurgaon to play its fifth leg from March 14-17 at DLF Golf & CC.
