The 13th annual Duke of Edinburgh Cup in aid of Christel House Charity Golf Tournament hosted at Karnataka Golf Association (KGA), Bangalore last week ended with record funds collected to benefit Christel House India’s school for underprivileged children. Once again Bangalore’s corporate community led by Swagelok and Bio-Gen Extracts came together to support a great cause, collecting over Rs 61 lacs in donations.

The tournament saw 112 golfers tee off, with one of the Bio-Gen teams, Arnav Chatterjee and Mihir Jayaraman claiming victory and earning the trip to Windsor Castle, England to represent India at the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Final.

Ronak Mittal and Shyam Ramakrishna stood out as the top performers in the Nett and Gross Individual categories, respectively.
India’s top ranked star lady amateur Avani Prashanth, a brand ambassador of Cholamandalam Investment & Finance and Asian Games team member Khalin Joshi made special appearances at the tournament.

Recognised as one of the leading charity golf events in the world, the two winners from this event will once travel to play in the prestigious ‘ Duke of Edinburgh Cup’ Charity golf World Finals in London which includes a round of golf at the private golf course of the Royal Family at Windsor Castle followed by a black tie sit down champagne dinner with a member of the Royal Family in the state ballroom of Windsor Castle – a unique , once in a lifetime, money can’t buy experience.

The tournament was played in a two member team format with the 18 hole total stableford scores of both team members adding up for the team score.
