28-year-old Sachin Baisoya from New Delhi shot 66-68-71-66 (16-under 272) to clinch the 6th edition of the Rs 1.5crore Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational by a shot over Abhijit Singh Chadha and Jamal Hossain of Bangladesh at Chandigarh Golf Club.
Sachin clinched his second PGTI victory for the season, adding to his earlier triumph at Tollygunge Club in February adding the first-place prize of INR 22,50,000, moving him to No 2 in the season long rankings but with INR 63,46,666, still trails close friend Om Prakash (the leader) by nearly INR 21 lakh.
Abhijit Singh Chadha of Chandigarh (70-66-70-67) mirrored Baisoya’s flawless performance, carding an error-free round of 67. This impressive performance allowed him to advance one position and conclude the week in a tied second place at 15-under 273, making him the highest-placed local golfer.
The tour now breaks for Diwali before the IndianOil Servo Masters, a tournament continuing for close to 20 years, from Nov. 22-25 at Digboi Golf Links in Assam.
