Indian origin star players, 26-year-old Sahith Theegala from California and 29-year-old Aaron Rai from England, both shot a total of 14-under 266 to register a joint fourth-place finish at the US$9 million Genesis Scottish Open, which is sanctioned by both the PGA & European ( DP World) Tours and held a week prior to The Open Championship at Royal Troon.
Theegala, currently ranked 7th on the FedEx Cup standings and 11th in the World Golf Rankings, carded rounds of 66-65-66-69 in Scotland. Rai stood tied-33rd after 54 holes but surged up the leaderboard with a bogey-free final round 63, scoring 5-under par in his last nine holes.

Rai is in red hot form himself with 3 consecutive top 8 finishes on the PGA Tour, He finished joint 2nd alongside Akshay Bhatia in Michigan two weeks ago and 7th at the John Deere Classic last week.
Meanwhile Shubhankar Sharma, finished with a 65 to tie at 39th. Tragically, he triple bogeyed the final hole, dropping around 20 spots in the process. However Sharma is showing signs of the kind of form that gave him the 8th place finish at The Open championship last year.
