Seher Atwal earns playing rights in Europe

Seher Atwal was the only Indian to survive the 72-hole cut at the Final Stage in Spain

 

24-year-old Seher Atwal from New Delhi who is a graduate in communications from Rollins College, Orlando , Florida shot 70-73-69-75-75 (1-over 362) in extremely cold and windy conditions to finish tied-37th at the 5 round Ladies European Tour (LET) Final Qualifier in Spain to earn playing rights in Europe under  Category 14. 

The Category 14 status guarantees her at least 15 starts on the LET next season. Seher will be joining two-time LET winner Diksha Dagar, Vani Kapoor and Amandeep Drall who also enjoy 2023 playing privileges for next season based on their rankings established in 2022. 

The top-20 and ties from the Final Qualifier earned full playing status for the upcoming season and although Seher was inside the top-20 after 54 holes, she shot 75 on each of the last two days to miss out by four shots.

A two-time winner on the WGAI, Seher was the only Indian out of 8 girls to survive the 72-hole cut set at 3-over 291. 

Prior to attending the Final Stage, Seher finished 8th at the LET First stage Qualifying in Asia played at Classic Golf & CC in Gurgaon last October to qualify in her very first attempt at the Q-School.

Asmitha Sathish – 76-76-75-74 (+13) for T-121st

Hitaashee Bakshi – 72-75-76-80 (+15) for T-130th

Neha Tripathi – 71-76-79-77 (+15) for T-130th
