Shubhankar Sharma currently stands 64th on the European Tour’s Race To Dubai Rankings
26-year-old Shubhankar Sharma, who finished in the top 30 on the 2022 European Tour Final Rankings, shot 71-70-78-69 (even-par 288) to finish tied-52nd at the US$ 2mn Korea Championship at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon, South Korea.
In 2023, Shubhankar has played in five European Tour events but made only two cuts. However on the basis of his top 30 rank in 2022 , he automatically qualifies for The Open championship this July.
Manu Gandas of Gurgaon, the other Indian in the field shot 74-74 (4-over 148) to miss the cut by four-strokes.
The tour will now head to Italy for the US$ 3.25mn DS Automobiles Italian Open from May 4-7.
