Shubhankar is currently 73rd on the European Tour season rankings
India’s lone stalwart on the DP World (European) Tour, 27 year old Shubhankar Sharma, once again stumbled with a 77 in the final round after shooting 69-69-71 to lie in 26th after 3 rounds at the US$ 2mn Scandinavian mixed gender event featuring men and ladies players competing for the same purse on the same course on the European Men’s & Ladies European Tours.
Last week similarly Sharma faltered on Sunday, dropping 7 strokes in his final 15 holes to finish way down the tournament standings.
Sharma has so far in 2024, displayed more consistency than he did in 2023, making 10 cuts in 13 events played. However, his 2023 highlight of finishing 8th at The Open championship will be difficult to match.

Also playing in the Scandinavian event was an in-form Diksha Dagar, but she missed the cut with rounds of 75-73.
Remarkably, Linn Grant of Sweden carded 67-68-71-65 (-17) to beat the men and win the mixed event title for a second time, following a shocking collapse by the leader, fellow Swede Steven Soderberg, on the final few holes.
