Shubhankar Sharma remains consistent on the European Tour
28 year old Shubhankar Sharma, the lone Indian on the European (DP World) Tour, secured his third consecutive top-20 finish at the US$ 3.5 million Betfred British Masters in England with rounds of 71-72-73-68 for a 4-under 284, good for an 18th place finish. He was 14th in Denmark and 19th at The Open Championship in his previous two starts.

This season, Sharma has shown remarkable consistency, making 16 cuts in 19 events with two top-10 finishes. His earnings have reached US$688,000, placing him 48th on the European Tour standings.
In contrast, Om Prakash Chouhan, the 2023 PGTI rankings leader who earned his 2024 DP World Tour playing rights, missed his 11th consecutive cut on the tour which highlights the difficulty players from our domestic tour have in adjusting to competition standards and playing conditions overseas.
