28-year-old Shubhankar Sharma, who has been playing consistently in Europe all year, climbed briefly to the lead at the start of Round 3 when he got to 9 under par with two eagles but eventually finished at 6 under for the tournament with rounds of 69-69-69-71 to finish 14th at the US$2.5 million Danish Golf Championship.
This season, Sharma has made 15 cuts in 18 events, with two top-10 finishes, amassing US$654,000 in earnings to rank 52nd on the European Tour standings. His consistency is reflected by his stroke average of 70.65, just behind his best ever 70.35 in 2021.
He will now play in England at the US$3.5 million Betfred British Masters from August 29 to September 1.
