Shubhankar Sharma signalled a welcome return to form, shooting 71-71-69-72 (5-under 283) to finish tied 14th at the US$ 1.9mn Dutch Open on the European DP World Tour after missing cuts three weeks in a row prior to this.
The 25-year-old Shubhankar, who has two European Tour victories is now a creditable 17th in the European Tour Rankings, thanks to his second place finish in the Rolex Series’ Abu Dhabi event at the start of the year.
He is expected to climb to 186th in the World Golf Rankings having had the runner-up and two-top 20 finishes. He will now head to Germany for the US$ 2.1mn BMW International Open from June 23-26 in Munich.
Victor Perez won the Dutch Open in a play-off over Ryan Fox, with the pair having finished at 13-under, 8 better than Shubhankar.
