India’s lone stalwart on the DP World (European) Tour, 27 year old Shubhankar Sharma, was derailed by strong winds and tough conditions as he dropped 7 strokes in his last 15 holes of the final round to end at tied-51st place at the US$ 2.5mn European Open in Germany.
Many other players in the final round, similarly struggled with tough scoring conditions at the event.

In 2024, Sharma has played in 12 events, made 9 cuts and a best finish of tied-7th in Singapore, his only top-10 finish so far for the European Tour season.
Two other Indians in the field, OP Chouhan shot 75-76 to miss the cut along with Veer Ahlawat, playing on an invite , who shot 79-70.
The tour is in Sweden this week for the US$ 2mn Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed event for both men and women where Shubhankar will team up with Diksha Dagar in the mixed team competition.
