Sharma is currently gearing up for the upcoming Open Championship next month
26-year-old Shubhankar Sharma, one of only two Indians with full playing rights on the European Tour in 2023, shot a strong 68 on day two to make the cut at the US$ 2 million Scandinavian Mixed event but could only manage 71-73 on the weekend to finish tied-58th with a four day total of 1-under 287.
The unique tournament is co-sanctioned by the Men and Ladies European Tours and was originally hosted by Swedish greats Annika Sorenstam and Henrik Stenson.
Diksha Dagar, the only other Indian in the event, shot 77-75 (8-over 152) and missed the cut in the Ladies section.
Shubhankar will now be seen in action in Munich, Germany at the US$ 2mn BMW International Open where Gaganjeet Bhullar made a Hole in One in 2019 to win a BMW M8 sports coupe.
