17-year-old Sneha Singh from Hyderabad and 32-year-old Sharmila Nicollet, based in Orlando, Florida are all set to play in the LPGA’s 1st stage Qualifying Tournament on Aug. 28-31 at Mission Hills Country Club and Indian Wells Country Club in California.
Stage-I will feature over 300 players competing for the top-95 spots and ties to advance to Stage-II scheduled for Oct. 17-20 in Florida The top 30 and ties from the Stage-II in Florida get into the final stage of Qualifying in December.
Sneha has played regularly in 2023 on the Thai LPGA Tour and has multiple wins on the Hero WPGT. Nicollet, a 15-time winner on the Hero WPGT and a past member on the LET, has been beset with injuries in recent years and previously held partial Epson Tour eligibility status in 2019 and 2021.
The 3rd and final stage of the LPGA Qualifiers will return to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail’s Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Alabama, from Nov. 30-Dec. 5, 2023 to be played over six rounds (108 holes) with a cut to be determined after four rounds.
At the Final qualifier players compete for a $150,000 purse paid to the top 45 and ties. The field will include players who finish 101-150 and ties on the current-year LPGA Points List and players 11-35 and ties from the Epson Tour, Spots will be allocated for players in the top 75 of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings as well as the top 10 and ties on the Ladies European Tour.
Upon the conclusion of Qualifier Series, the top 20 and ties will earn 2024 LPGA Tour status, while players finishing in positions 21-45 and ties will earn conditional 2024 LPGA Tour status and 2024 Epson Tour status. Players finishing outside the top 45 will earn partial Epson Tour eligibility for 2024.
