Sneha Singh debuts in Thailand

Sneha Singh qualified for the Thai LPGA through its Q-School in January

17-year-old lady pro from Hyderabad, Sneha Singh who has four wins on the Hero WPGT, made her debut on the Thailand ladies tour for which she qualified some weeks ago and which offers World Ranking Points, missing from India’s WGAI Tour. With Thailand producing a slew of women pros who are on top of the world rankings, Sneha finished 34th despite shooting 75-70 at the US$ 73,000 Singha Pattaya Ladies Open 2023 at Laem Chabang CC outside Pattaya,, Thailand.

Singh has conditional status on the Thai LPGA tour this year as she finished 28th in the Tour qualifier at Watermill Golf Club & Resort in January. 

The Thai LPGA Tour is a professional golf tour for women organised by the Thailand Ladies Professional Golf Association. Founded in 2008, the Thai LPGA Tour hosted 4-6 professional events per year from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, the tour got support from the Sports Authority of Thailand and private company sponsors to expand the tour to 8 competitions.

In December 2022, Thai LPGA Tour announced the inclusion of the tour in the Women’s World Golf Rankings. The tour will begin accumulating points beginning in 2023 at the BGC Championship.
