The Indian squad made an impact in Holland, finishing 3rd

The Indian National Amateur team consisting of Shaurya Bhattacharya, Yuvraj Singh and Milind Soni gained some valuable international exposure in Europe while shooting 137-142 (5-under 279) to finish third at the 22nd Dutch Amateur Championship played last week in Netherlands.

On the individual front Bhattacharya finished 6th, Soni finished 25th and Yuvraj 28th.

The Dutch Amateur Championship was first played in 1898 and is the leading amateur stroke-play event in the Netherlands. The tournament is normally played over 72 holes, though it was only 54 holes this year. A total of 102 male and 42 female players took part.
