Sahith Theegala is currently ranked 30th on the OWGR
25-year-old Californian of Indian origin, Sahith Theegala, is proving that he will be a regular force to reckon with on the PGA Tour after shooting 71-68-68-66 (11-under 273) to finish T6th at the star studded US$ 20mn Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles.
So far in 2022-2023, Theegala has played in 11 events, with a win at the QBE Shootout, a runner-up finish at The RSM Classic and five other top-10 finishes. He has already earned US$ 2.7 million in prize money and is currently 9th in the FedEx Cup Rankings and 33rd in the world rankings.
In 2022, Theegala’s first on the PGA Tour, he finished 28th in the FedEx Cup standings with total earnings of US$ 3.1mn (₹25.5 cr).
Needless to say, Indian fans would love to see Theegala play in India sometime soon.
