Top Indian Juniors head to USA

Avani is looking at making a mark in the US this July

Several  Indian juniors, including two-time All India Ladies Champion Avani Prashanth from Bangalore, Gurgaon’s Kartik Singh who has several junior titles in Asia to his name, Zara Anand of Noida who represented India at the Asia Pacific Ladies Amateur in New Zealand earlier this year, and Kashika Misra are headed to the USA to major international junior events where they will get a taste of competition with the best juniors in the world.

Kartik Singh

14-year-old Kartik Singh, currently ranked 215th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), has achieved remarkable success this season, securing victories in tournaments held in India, Thailand, and Singapore. Last year, he made history as the youngest Indian to compete in the U.S. Amateur. This season, he is set to travel to the USA to participate in the following tournaments.

Zara Anand

15-year-old Zara Anand from Noida, last week finished runner-up at the FCG Collegiate Series at Twin Oaks, California in her first US appearance this summer two-strokes behind the winner. 

Zara finished 12th at the Queen Sirikit Cup in New Zealand, and later won the NCR Cup in Delhi. 

She will remain in USA for her upcoming competitions.

Kashika Misra

16-year-old Kashika Misra from Delhi, recently finished runner-up at the NCR Cup at Delhi Golf Club.

She is headed to USA for three weeks of competitive golf in July.
