Vani (C) celebrates win no. 34 with her parents (in frame)
India’s all-time Women’s Pro Golf Tour (WPGT) leading professional player Vani Kapoor secured her third consecutive title on the 2025 Hero WPGT with a three-shot victory in the sixth leg, held at DLF Golf and Country Club—the veteran’s home course. Despite a bogey-bogey finish, she cruised to a comfortable win with a final-round score of 1-over 73, bringing her total to 1-over 217 for the tournament.
Vani has seemed to crack the code for winning at home, having emerged as a winner here for the last two years running.
Amateur Anvvi Dahhiya, who carded rounds of 71-77-74, finished three shots behind at 220, recording her best-ever result on the tour.
First-round leader Lavanya Jadon finished third, while 2023 Rankings No. 1, Sneha Singh of Hyderabad, struggled with a 5-over 77 to finish fourth at 223.
2017 & 2019 Rankings No. 1 Gaurika Bishnoi, another player enjoying the home course advantage, placed fifth with a 76, while amateur Keya K Badugu delivered the final day’s best round with a 1-under 71, finishing sixth.
Vani’s victory takes her earnings to Rs. 8,54,000, securing her the top spot on the HWPGT Rankings, a position she last held from 2014-16. Hyderabad’s Sneha Singh moves to second with Rs. 7,82,567, followed by Amandeep Drall at Rs. 4,92,300.
