Vani Kapoor missed out on becoming a third player from Indian to win on the LET
Vani Kapoor, the 29-year-old pro from Gurgaon, entered the final round at the US$ 250,000 Ladies European Tour ( LET) Big Green Egg Open in Netherlands one shot behind tournament leader and 3 time major winner Anna Nordqvist. On the final day, Kapoor moved into a share of the lead on the 10th hole, but bogeyed the 14th to fall two behind, and finished tied 3rd with rounds of 69-70-71-73. This is Vani’s best ever LET finish.

Vani ranks 184th on the LET Driving Distance stats with 240.15 yards average which makes her 3rd place finish all the more creditable. She picked up US$ 11,750 (₹9.4 lacs approx) for her efforts and signalled a welcome return to form while getting ready to represent India at the inaugural US$750,000 Indonesia International team invitational in August.
Diksha Dagar, who shared third place with Vani after 36 holes closed with a 77 to drop to 17th. Two other Indian pros made the cut. Amandeep Drall finished 48th and Ridhima Dilawari 59th. Among the 5 Indians playing in Holland, Neha Tripathi was the only one to miss the cut.
