The 6 ft 3 inch tall Ahlawat picked up Rs ₹13 lacs for his first top-10 finish of the season. Last year he finished 38th on the Asian Tour’s rankings with five top-10 finishes on the Asian Tour, including a tie for fifth in Singapore and sixth in The DGC Open.
The in-form Chikka of Bangalore finished only one stroke back at T18th while Gaganjeet Bhullar, was one more stroke back at Tied 24th.
Shiv Kapur, Jeev Milkha Singh & S.S.P Chawrasia were at 39th.
Karandeep Kochhar and Honey Baisoya also made the cut while Viraj Madappa was the only Indian in the field to miss the cut.
The Indian players will probably return to India this week before heading to Vietnam for the US$ 2mn International Series Vietnam from April 13-16.
