Vidhatri Urs, 18, the 2023 All India Ladies Amateur Champion from Mysore, claimed her first professional victory in just her third start at the 9th Leg of the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (Hero WPGT) at Clover Greens, near Bangalore. Vidhatri, the cousin of Ladies European Tour pro Pranavi Urs, carded rounds of 68-69-70, finishing with a total of 6-under 207, two strokes ahead of amateur Saanvi Somu from Bangalore.
Entering the final round with a one-stroke lead, Urs’ steady final round of 70 secured her victory, as she faced no significant challenge from the field.
In her previous two pro starts, she notched top-3 finishes in Mysore and Bangalore and earlier had won on the Hero WPGT as an amateur.
Gaurika Bishnoi, who has won 8-times on the Hero WPGT, finished third with rounds of 70-70-71, totaling 2-under 211.
The 10th leg of the Hero WPGT will take place from July 23-26 at Prestige Golfshire in Bangalore.
