News9 Live channel hosted a panel discussion on Saudi Arabia’s increasingly large investment in sports, especially golf. The country has committed US $300 million to the Asian Tour over a 10 year period, and has nominated former World No. 1 and multiple major winner Australian Greg Norman as the CEO of LIV Golf Investments in a bid to challenge the PGA Tour for the best players in the world.
Three Indian golf experts had a lively discussion with News9 achor Meha Alter including our Editor and Asian Games Gold Medallist Rishi Narain, PGTI Board Member and veteran pro tour player Amandeep Johl, and nine-time Asian Tour winner Gaganjeet Bhullar. All three panelists supported and welcomed the investment by Saudi Arabia as it helps grow the game in Asia, and across the world.
