26-year-old Yuvraj Singh Sandhu of Chandigarh continued his lead as No 1 in the ADT rankings following an earlier victory in Indonesia with a 13th place finish this week and having made cuts in all 4 events he has entered.
The top-10 players on the ADT are guaranteed playing rights on the main Asian Tour for the following year. The Asian Tour has grown even more lucrative with the addition of the 10 International events comprising the International Series. As things stand, Sandhu should be one of those 10 players.
The Asian Development Tour (ADT), is a feeder tour to the Asian Tour created in 2010, with average prize money purses of US$ 90,000 for 2023. The tour staged 16 events in 2022 and as of now only has a total of 9 tournaments listed for 2023.
The tour’s next event will be the US$ 70,000 OB Golf Invitational at Sentul Highlands in Indonesia. We will be hoping that Yuvraj will make India proud and finish No 1 at the end of 2023.
