Zara Anand overcame a six-shot deficit to win in Malaysia
15-year-old Zara Anand from Noida carded rounds of 76-77-73 to win the inaugural Srixon 100 Plus Invitational Junior Tournament at Kuala Lumpur’s famous Kota Permai Golf Club, an Asian Tour venue, soon after she returned from the R&A’s prestigious Junior Open in Scotland where she finished 14th against a world-class global field.
Zara was trailing by six shots after two rounds, but her 73 on the final day secured victory by a significant margin. The field struggled in windy conditions, with undulating greens rolling at a super quick 11.5 on the Stimpmeter, which contributed to a high-scoring final round.
