Anirban registered a T7 finish at the 2nd LIV Golf event of the season in Adelaide
Arjuna Awardee and 2-time Olympian Anirban Lahiri continued his consistent form on the LIV Golf Tour, securing a tied-7th finish at LIV Golf Adelaide, held at The Grange Golf Club from February 14-16. Competing in his fourth year on the breakaway circuit, the former PGA TOUR regular grappled with a topsy-turvy week to finish as the top performer for Crushers GC.
Torque GC Captain Joaquín Niemann delivered the only bogey-free round of the final day, firing a 7-under 65 to clinch the title with a 13-under total. His charge saw him outpace Fireballs GC’s Abraham Ancer and Torque teammate Carlos Ortiz, who both finished three shots behind at 10-under-par after rounds of 71.
Despite finishing runner-up in the individual standings, Ancer found success with Fireballs GC, leading them to a dominant team victory. Fireballs secured the team title with a six-stroke margin over Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII, with Torque GC rounding out the podium in third place.
Rahm’s Top-10 streak continues
Legion XIII Captain Jon Rahm extended his streak of top-10 finishes, securing solo sixth place at 7-under after a closing-round 70. Since joining LIV Golf ahead of the 2024 season, Rahm has finished inside the top 10 in every completed event except one, when he withdrew due to injury in Houston last season.
Next Stop: LIV Golf Hong Kong
The tour moves to Asia for its next event, LIV Golf Hong Kong, scheduled from March 7-9 at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling.
