Mercedes Trophy 2025 gets underway in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune

The 2025 Mercedes Trophy has officially commenced, marking its 24th annual edition with a spectacular opening at the Hyderabad Golf Association (HGA), in Hyderabad. Over nine weeks and 19 regional rounds, more than 2,200 amateur golfers from across the country will come together. Around 100 golfers will be competing in each round for a chance to qualify for the National Final in April.

Hyderabad: A grand opening
The opening regional rounds in Hyderabad on January 23 and 24 set the tone for an exhilarating tournament, with participants showcasing their skills and enthusiasm on the lush greens of HGA.

From each regional round, three winners from different handicap categories will secure their spots in the National Final, where they will vie for the opportunity to represent India at the prestigious World Championship of the Mercedes Trophy in Stuttgart, Germany.

Mumbai
Following Hyderabad, the next couple of regional rounds moved to Willingdon Sports Club Mumbai on January 28 and 29, where the excitement continued to build.

The next regional round made its way to the Poona Golf Course in Pune, on 31st January, where the competition remained fierce.
