NAGOYA
42-year-old Rahil Gangjee, a former winner on the Japan Golf Tour, returned to Japan and played the US$ 1.1mn Token Homemate Open in Nagoya, where he missed the cut with rounds of 76-71.
In 2020, Rahil could play only three Japan Tour events, making cuts in two, with his tied-37th finish at the US$ 10mn SMBC Singapore Open being his best finish. Rahil played in four events on the PGTI starting in December, tying for fourth at the Rs 1.5crore Tour Championship in Jamshedpur.
Rahil now hopes to play the seven confirmed events in Japan during April and May provided the Tour does not suspend operations due to the pandemic.
