24-year-old Shubhankar Sharma, a two-time winner on the European Tour, appeared to find his rhythm at the US$ 1.2mn Kenya Savannah Classic , shooting rounds of 69-69-69-66 (11-under 273) to finish tied-30th.
Shubhankar has had an up and down season so far in 2021, making only 3 cuts in the 5 events he has played with his best finish coming at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in Jan.where he finished tied 22nd. Shubhankar lies 98th in the Race to Dubai for 2021, with a lot of ground to make up. He is on a two week break before heading to Europe for a 7 week stretch.
Meanwhile Gaganjeet Bhullar, who had just come off a 2nd place finish in Qatar and 16th in Kenya the week earlier, slipped to 42nd this week. SSP Chowrasia, who has failed to find form so far this year missed yet another cut despite shooting 75-66.
