Srinagar course hosts Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh

Recently the beautiful Royal Springs GC, Srinagar hosted Secretary Tourism, Arvind Singh from Delhi during a small golf tournament organised as part of a 3-day tourism meet on – “Tapping Tourism Potential of Kashmir – another day in paradise”.

Around 50 golfers participated in the tournament, including 30 outstation visitors and 20  RSGC members. Union Secretary Tourism Arvind Singh said, “Kashmir is blessed with beautiful golf courses and has huge potential for mega professional golf tournaments.”

He added, “Many have evinced interest to be part of future golf tournaments here which shows that this place has huge potential to attract golfers.”

Additional Director General Tourism, Ms Rupinder Brar said the 18-hole course is magnificent in its beauty and she is looking forward to collaborating with J&K for many initiatives, including golf tournaments in the valley to portray it as one of the prime golf destinations in the country.

Among the participants were Dr. Archana Singh from National Skills Development Council , Ambassadors of Georgia, Kenya and Vietnam and members of the travel trade.
