If you are a golfer, then last week, you would have almost certainly seen videos and photos of Tiger Woods and his 11 year old son Charlie in action at the annual PNC Championship being played in Orlando, Florida. There is little doubt that the young Woods stole the show with a carefree swing, great attitude and beaming smile ! He made several birdie putts with the confidence of a tour pro, fist-bumped his Dad and even hit a perfect 175 yard draw with a 3-wood to tap in distance for an eagle in round one !
What a debut. 💯

Tiger and Charlie ended up with an impressive two day total of 20 under par in this two-man scramble format, finishing 7th, only 5 strokes behind winners Justin Thomas and his club pro father who ended winning US$200,000 at 25 under par. Charlie was the youngest player in this US$1Mn tournament which was open to Major Champions and their kids. Most champions like Vijay Singh, Matt Kuchar and John Daly played with their teenage or grown up sons. There is no doubt that this annual event could end up being one of the most watched and awaited if Charlie keeps progressing. It seemed like the Dads and youngsters all had a lot of fun and there is no wonder they are all in praise of the format.
