The fifth and final round of Lalla Aicha Tour School saw five Indian girls in a 60-strong field tee-off at Amelkis Golf Club, Marakkesh, Morocco for a spot on the 2019 Ladies European Tour (LET).

22-year-old Astha Madan, a Sacramento State alumnus, finished as the highest-ranked Indian, posting a T-7 with a total score of 10-under 350. She topped the chart in the opening round and even led the field for a while during the third, showing her prowess in the process. Astha had finished T-37 along with Vani Kapoor and Pranavi S. Urs (an amateur) at the Hero Women’s Indian Open in October.

18-year-old Diksha Dagar, who turned professional at the event, was seven strokes behind Astha at T-21 and made sure she remained within the top 25 to earn a full card on the Ladies European Tour.

Tvesa Malik finished T-45, ahead of Vani Kapoor (T-51) and Sharmila Nicollet (T-62). Players who finished below 25th place received LET card under 9-C Category, a card which will give them the membership but only offers limited starts over the season.

In all, seven ladies represented India at the final stage. Ridhima Dilawari and Saaniya Sharma were not able to make it to the fifth round.
